I was able photograph this awesome extended family this past weekend.  Luckily the rain held out for us, but it was sure windy!

They all dressed SO cute and did great.  I was so impressed with the kids- they were so well-behaved, too.

Here are just a few of my faves from their session!

K, how CUTE are these twin boys??

A few of Grandma & Grandpa!

….. and in b&w, too.

This one makes me laugh…. we have some great ones of him smiling, too, but this is one of my faves!

The LAST TIME I photographed this sweet family little baby “B” was just a newborn.  He’s sure grown up, and both kids are as cute as ever.  I loved seeing them again!  We had to wait a bit at our session for a storm to pass, but then the clouds cleared and the sun came out and we had a great time!

Here are a few of my faves! :)

Thanks again you guys! :)

I got to meet up with this great family and it was such a pleasure seeing them and their little sweetie again!  Once again they were great to work with, and I really enjoyed our time together.

they kept me laughing….

admin August 21st, 2009

This family have been dear friends of ours for several years, and earlier this summer they ventured down here to Utah County for photos, but the weather had different ideas for it so I was able to meet up with them again when I was in Logan last weekend.  It was so fun to catch up with them!

It seems that in probably 1 out of every 4 photo shoots I have the mom will tell me something one of their family members (usually kids) did that day…. things that would *only* happen on picture day, such as scrapes, bruises, black eyes, stained shirts as they’re leaving for photos, etc.  However, I think this family takes the cake for the most unique incident, so congrats guys. ;)

And for future reference if you’ve got a session scheduled with me, my theory when I’m touching up your photos is that I usually take out things that are temporary (scrapes, acne, etc) but I leave things that make that person THEM…. moles, birthmarks, etc.  Of course if you have a specific request, feel free to talk with me about it. :)

Anyway, onto a few of their photos!  I’m loving squre crops tonight, so that’s what most of these are. :)

Aren’t they so cute together?!

I adore this family!

admin August 14th, 2009

I’ve known this family for a few years, and they’re such great people and I’m so lucky to be able to do photos for them again.  I absolutely adore this family- we had a great evening together.  I loved sitting back and capturing them as they interacted.  It was obvious to me how much they love each other.

Here are just a few of my faves from our session… I have to leave a few surprises for their gallery. ;)

Thanks again, you guys!  Shanda, I’ll have your gallery ready for you tomorrow. :)

cute family & girl’s hair accessories!

admin June 17th, 2009

Luckily we were able to avoid the rain for this family session!  Mom had the cutest outfits picked out, and it was fun getting to know them.  :)

If you’re looking for some amazing bows for your little girl or to give as a gift, head over to this mom’s “bowtique” for a huge selection of high-quality bows/headbands.  I got some for my little baby girl, and I’m so in love with them.  They’re truely a work of art her website is also listed on the LINKS section of my blog.  Speaking of little girl’s hair, this little cutie’s ringlets are natural curls!  Lucky duck. :)

Such a doll. :)

It was so obvious to me how much they love each other.  :)

Thanks again, you guys!

24!

admin December 18th, 2008

This was my last big family session of the year, and it was one that Kenzie and I had been planning for a few months for when all of their extended family was going to be in Utah.  However, November and Utah sometimes don’t mix well together but after lots of threatening forecasts for the day of our shoot, the sun peeked out, it didn’t storm, and it was even relatively warm!!  I admit that the idea of a 24-person (including 12 kids) shoot in the winter was a bit intimidating, but everything went smoothly and I love how the photos turned out.  I loved their outfit choices, the location, and the kids were sooo adorable.  Thank you again, you guys, for being so great to work with!

(Get ready for an extremely photo-loaded post!)

First off, remember THIS family?  That sweet baby has been featured on my website, business cards, and a few other things, and my, how he has grown in the last 9 months!!

Check him out now!

and big brother, sister, and his family:

and a small sampling of some of the other photos….

F-A-M-I-L-Y

admin December 9th, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing this cute family, and they were such a fun group to hang out with.  All of the kids got along so well and were just so genuinely nice to each other.  I come from a big family too, and I don’t know that we ever got along that well! ;)

….. and her twin sis :)   Thanks again, M&M for wearing different earrings.  Otherwise, I may have been in big trouble when I was proofing! ;)

Oh, the things this little girl’s uncles were doing to make her smile…. makes me smile just thinking about it! ;)

And the two that started it all.  This pic perfectly explains where all the kids got their gorgeous eyes from!

And the whole gang:

Thanks again, you guys!!  You were great!!

check out this cute family!

admin December 4th, 2008

Wow, I’m so behind on posting sessions, so look for lots of posts these next few weeks!! :)

Here are a few of my faves from a recent session.  The two boys were so cute and their personalities reminded me a lot of my two boys!

Ok, um, seriously?!?!  It seems like it’s always the boys that get the most amazing lashes! ;)

Thanks again, you guys!!  I’ll chat with you soon. :)

More of the Little Miss

admin November 25th, 2008

I’ve been trying for two days now to upload these images, and I’m finally giving in to WordPress and letting it win….. for today.

Sorry these pics are small- hopefully I’ll be able to replace them with the larger, yummier images soon. :)

Anyway, here’s some more pics of my sweet niece.  She was just 5 days old for her first photoshoot, and she was absolutely perfect!  I’m excited that my little girl is going to have a girl cousin so close in age!

Love this one with her mom and how she’s reaching up for a kiss! :)

Yep… I’ve got this hat in pink, too! ;)

This one cracks me up! :)

And big brother wanted nothing to do with being in pictures with his sister, but for the roughly minute and a half he gave us we got one!  And look- little sis is even smiling!  Talk about luck! ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  I’ve been super busy keeping up with sessions and orders, but I love it!  I’m running a tad behind posting on this blog, so posts will likely be reviews rather than previews, as my priority is getting galleries up for clients. :)

And just a reminder….. the absolute deadline for ordering prints in time for the holidays is Decemebr 10th.    :)

A very dear friend of mine…

admin November 20th, 2008

The cute mom of this family & I go waaaay back.  Like, to preschool.  We were lucky enough to grow up together until my family moved when I was in high school, and boy, did we get into lots of trouble have lots of fun together!  Oh, the stories……………   ;)   Even though we’ve lived between 2-5 hours apart for the last 10 years, I love that we’ve stayed in contact and we both drove 2+ hours in bad snowstorms to get to each other’s weddings.    I was so excited when she let me know that her and her cute little family were going to be in the area and they wanted some photos.  Her little girl is absolutely adorable, and they were so fun to spend time with.

With a cute homemade hat courtesy of her mom!

pure sweetness

admin November 17th, 2008

I’m so lucky and have the best job!  I get to see such cute families and kids, and I love taking and processing the photos.  This little guy and his family drove a long way for photos, and I’m so glad we were able to make it work.  Sometimes it can be difficult to get eye contact with newborns, but he was such a star- I think my camera was made for him. ;)

I have so many favorites from this session- I could easily post them all here, but I have to leave some surprises for his gallery.  :)

So little J’s grandma bought him this adorable little outfit for photos… doesn’t he look like such a handsome little man?

Thanks again, you guys!  It was wonderful meeting you and spending time with you and your new sweet baby boy.  I’ll be talking with you soon. :)
